
Here is a small head that will be in constant demand in any shop. Note the wide base
bearing surface that assures maximum rigidity even when the bar holder is in an offset
position. This wide base design is a Criterion innovation that increases bearing surfaces
by 50% over older models.
A choice of either 3/8" or 1/2" double hole bar holder with a 1/2" cross hole is available. The unit has a 7/8-20 threaded back and also features a direct reading dial screw.

Here is a sturdy unit of extended boring range that is capable of peeling off heavy
roughing cuts. It is also a tool of extreme sensitivity.
The use of a wide base bar holder that rest securely on the body eliminates the need for a separate side plate. You will note this has now become an integral part of the body.
The direct reading adjusting screw is ground after hardening and a plainly marked dial face in non-reflecting satin chrome allows easy reading and adjustments of .001 or less.
Criterion Boring Heads have threaded backs for use with a variety of shanks. This model takes a 1-1/2-18 threaded shank.

This head fills the need for a sturdy, large capacity tool with weight and bulk are held
to a minimum. The 2 hole bar holder increases the boring range without the necessity of an
extreme offset adjustment.
Both the cross-hole and the two vertical holes
will accept boring tools or bars with a 1" shank diameter. A 1 -1/2-18 threaded back permits the adaptation of a variety of shanks as shown in the V-Flange & BT Shanks and Shanks & Adapters sections.

The largest in the Criterion line, this head was designed for extra heavy duty. The wide
bar holder base, common to our entire line, permits maximum stock removal while
maintaining rigid control of accuracy.
Holes up to 16" in diameter can easily be bored with the use of a sturdy 1-1/2" bar in the cross-hole.
A 2-1/4-10 threaded back permits its use with the shanks shown on the bottom of the Shanks and Adapters section.

The dial crew in the DBL-206F boring head is direct reading. One graduation on the dial screw removes .001 on the bore.
