DESIGN - The clean, smooth design of these heat treated steel Boring Bars permits easy and
unobstructed chip disposal. Eliminate the problems of packed chips that prevent an
adequate supply of coolant from reaching the cutting edge.
STRENGTH - Just a small portion of the bar is removed for tip and clamp placement, thereby retaining maximum strength under the insert. The rigidity thus established permits heavier stock removal while reducing chatter and vibration to a minimum.
ECONOMY - Cut your carbide inventory in half! The complete range of bars from 1/2" to 1-3/4" diameter use only 4 different insert sizes. The precision inserts furnished with the bar are the general purpose grade. Size TPG-61-P1 is a special and must be ordered through an authorized Criterion dealer. Sizes TPG-221, TPG-321 and TPG-432 are standards and may be obtained from any carbide dealer.
Boring bars are supplied with C-6 grade carbide inserts. C-2 grade is available upon request.
